Detailed Responsibilities

The role has a strong focus on both defining product strategy and execution. Key responsibilities include;-

  • Create and implement global mobile product strategy with supporting tactical plans and business milestones.
  • Achieve key business objectives including revenue and usage metrics.
  • Identify solutions that clearly address customer needs in relation to music discovery, purchase and community.
  • Monitor and evaluate competitive environment (messaging, pricing, promotions, positioning, etc.), industry trends and new technologies to drive product enhancements and features.

  • Manage mobile product planning process to optimise product portfolio development necessary for sustained growth of user base and evolution of smart products.
  • Gather business requirements, create product definition and work closely with Engineering team to translate these into design and technical specifications, and monitor deliverables through all phases of the product development process.
  • Working closely with Business Development, Finance and Marketing Communications functions establish product positioning, promotion and pricing initiatives to achieve relevant KPIs.
  • Work with UK Consumer Services Director to ensure the company delivers a cohesive product and commercial offering.
  • Manage internal and external resource relationships/accounts.
  • Provide internal product training and trade marketing / sales support to Business Development and other functional teams.

Skill and Experience Required

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in product management, ideally within the mobile telecommunications sector.
  • Detailed knowledge of mobile smart client applications and operating environments (Java, Symbian, Microsoft, Brew).
